Roger Weidler, 64, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born in Decatur, IN, Roger worked as a Truck Driver for SuperValu, Inc. for 28 years, retiring in 2010, and was a proud Teamster Union member. He enjoyed boating, fishing and campfires with his family at Lake Jimmerson. Surviving are his wife, Mary "Beth" Weidler of Fort Wayne; father, Wilfred J. Weidler of Valparaiso, IN; brother, Wilfred K. (Deb) Weidler of Chicago, IL; sister, Susan Cook of Chattanooga, TN; sons, Brian (Kristy) Weidler and Brent Weidler; and step-daughters, Candida (Stan) Bly all of Fort Wayne, Michelle (T.J.) Rush of Ossian; 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Roger was preceded in death by his mother, Ernestine Weidler. Service is 2pm, January 1, 2013 at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, Rev. David Biberstein officiating, with calling one hour prior. Visitation is 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Monday, December 31, 2012 2:00 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission.
