Ron passed away Dec. 26, 2012, at home in Vancouver, WA surrounded by loved ones after several months of ill health. Born Dec. 11, 1953 in Joplin MO. to Bob & Louise Stapleton. He grew up in Carthage, MO. & graduated from Carthage High School in 1971. Ron was preceded in death by brother Dick Stapleton in 1981, father Bob Stapleton Sr. in 1982, stepfather David Fairbank in 2010, & several aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife Deborah, mother Louise Fairbank of Joplin, brother Bob Stapleton Jr. and wife Barb of Tulsa, Ok, stepsister, Susan Rush and husband John of Mt. Pleasant, S.C. mother-in-law Barbara Hart of Woodland, WA. sister-in-law Sandy Wells and husband Jack of Battle Ground, WA. aunts Maxine Hunnell & Carol Arrowood, her husband Glenn from Carthage, MO., aunt Connie Everitt of Joplin, MO. 5 nieces Carla, Brandi, Amanda, Tabatha & Drew three great-nieces, six great-nephews & numerous cousins. Ron was an accomplished Musician & taught guitar lessons. He had played with various bands throughout the country and locally. Ron was cremated at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. There will be a Celebration of Life service at the Red Lion Quay on February 2nd @ 2pm.
