Roverto (Robert) "Buffy" Hernandez, Sr., passed away peacefully at home on January 27, 2013. He was 62 years old.He was preceded in death by his parents,Federico and Albina Hernandez. Robert was a U.S. Army veteran and was a retired 23-year veteran of the Houston Police Department. He was a cancer survivor and battled the disease for ten years.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; daughters Yesenia (Andy) Brownson, Yvette Hernandez, Yvonne Hernandez, son Roberto (Paula) Hernandez, Jr., stepdaughter Nicole Landry, and stepsons Patrick (Lindsay) Olivares,Keith (Angelica) Olivares; siblings Johnny (Anna) Hernandez, Felicitas (Richard) Garcia, Frutoso Hernandez, Fabian (Mary Helen) Hernandez, Faye (David) Rosas, Fred (Virginia) Hernandez, David Hernandez; seven grandchildren, and one great-grand child.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, January 31, 2013, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Crespo Funeral Home, 2516 Navigation Blvd., Houston, TX 77003. A wake will be held that evening at 6:00PM. The funeral service will take place on Friday, February 1, 2013 at Crespo Funeral Home~Navigation Chapel at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
