GREENVILLE - Stanley Allen Pope, 71, of Greenville, died Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 6:50PM at Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mr. Pope was born January 13, 1942 in Flint, Michigan. He was a coal miner with Peabody Coal Co., and a member of New Cypress Missionary Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Connie Pope; daughter Misty (Scooter) Vester of Bowling Green; grandchildren Haley Dawn Pope, Keaton Michael Lewis Vester, and Elizabeth Ann Pope; and sister Doris Groves of Greenville.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 4:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Burial in Freedom Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday after 2:00PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
