CENTRAL CITY - Steve Wood, 57, of Central City, died Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 1:50AM at his home. Mr. Wood was born August 12, 1955 in Muhlenberg County. He was a coal miner. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Wood; parents Orville and Delia Wood; and brothers Donald Wood, Jimmy Wood, Larry Wood, and Jerry Wood.

Survivors include his wife, Shelia Adcock Wood; son Jacob Wood of Marion; daughter Misty Fields of Central City; seven grandchildren; brother Mark Wood of Colorado; sisters Janice Creager of Greenville, Jendra Hildebrant of Vincennes, IN, and Margaret Clark of Greenville; and his friend since childhood, Joe "Zif" Arnold.

Services will be Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 2:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Joe Mitchell officiating. Visitation will be Thursday after 12:00PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
