Thomas D. "Tommy" Miller, 64, of Palm City, Florida, died December 17, 2012 at the Martin Medical Center, Stuart.
Born in Huntington, West Virginia, he had been a resident of Martin County for 31 years, having moved from Huntington. He did his undergraduate and graduate studies at Marshall University in Huntington receiving a Master's Degree in education.
Before retiring he had been a history teacher with the Martin County School System for 25 years, teaching at Stuart Middle School and Indiantown Middle School. In Huntington, he taught at Huntington East High School, where he was also the assistant football coach. He was a former member of the Stuart Rod & Reel Club.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Jeannie Miller of Palm City; a daughter Kerri Miller of Stuart; a brother John F. Miller of Huntington; one grandson, Elijah and his loving pet Radar.
SERVICES: There will be a Gathering from 3:00 to 4:00 PM on December 21, 2012, at the Forest Hills Funeral Homes, Palm City Chapel with a Celebration of Life at 4:00 PM.
