Thomas Leroy Brown, 60, of Braman, OK formerly of Arkansas City, KS, died Saturday, February 2, 2013, at the Blackwell Regional Hospital, Blackwell, OK. Funeral services have been scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 8, 2013, at the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home. Pastor Babe Standerfer will officiate. Burial will follow in the Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Friends may greet the family from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Thomas was born March 29, 1952, to Edgar L. and Idah E. (Neal) Brown in Arkansas City, KS. Thomas was reared and educated in Dexter, KS, graduating from Dexter High School in 1971. After high school he attended Cowley County Community College where he received his Associates as a mechanic. After college Thomas served his country in the Army until being honorably discharged in 1978. On November 17, 1980, Thomas married Debbe A. Eggert in Miami, OK. The couple made their home in Arkansas City. Thomas worked as a mechanic for Becker Tire for many years until his retirement. Thomas enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, and most of all spending time with his family. Survivors include is wife Debbe of the home; daughter Lori Marie Mundy and husband Adrian "Douglas" of New Bloomfield, MO; sons Thomas C. "T.C." Brown of Braman, OK; Brian Brown and wife Candace of Blackwell, OK; grandchildren, Toni, Ilana, Connor, Landon, Kipton, Adrian, Christopher, Heather, Ashley, Erin, Hahlee, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Laura Teer. A memorial has been established with the American heart association. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
