FITZPATRICK, Timothy Donaldson of Wesley Chapel, Florida, formerly of Hastings, New York died Sunday, February 10, 2013.
Beloved husband of Barbara (Hughes) Fitzpatrick, esteemed father of Don Fitzpatrick and his wife Sarah of Gainesville, FL, Steve Fitzpatrick and his wife Jessica of Fairfax, VA, and Tim Fitzpatrick of Tampa, FL. Adored grandfather of Jude, Jack, Zoe, Dylan, Ava and Harper. Beloved brother-in-law of Patty and Howie Turner, Margaret and Jerry Ashcroft and Judy and Jim (deceased) Johnson.

Born in Rome, NY, January 17, 1947, the devoted son of the late Donaldson and Gladys Fitzpatrick. Also survived by JoAnn Zingg and Christine Bezio.
Tim was driven by family, friends and music. He found great success as a sales representative in the dental supply industry, but the key successes were the relationships he formed, the music he made, and the love of music he passed onto so many. He first developed this love of music with a band called The Mystics, playing with Bob Jones, Peter Gunthorp and Mark Wildrick. He played later with The College Playboys, with whom he cut his first album, and The Revelations. Most recently, he played and recorded with the Florida band The Relics.

In the many years between playing live music, he instilled in his family and friends a love of music, of story, and of the sunsets on Lake Ontario. These loves he bequeathed to his children, to Rob Fields, and to countless others. Whether skipping stones or teaching his sons to drive a boat, he taught that wherever a body of water is present redemption and renewal are possible.

A funeral mass will be held at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Temple Terrace, FL, on Saturday, February 16 at 11:00 AM, with Father Robert Cadrecha officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 15 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 12690 N 56th Street, Tampa, FL. Interment will be in upstate New York at a later date.
