BREMEN - Waymon H. Jarvis, 77, of Bremen, died Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at his residence following a brief illness. Born in Midland, KY on July 13, 1935, he was the son of the late John S. Jarvis and Audrey Boggess Jarvis. He was a member of Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Midland. He was a 1954 graduate of Bremen Consolidated High School and also was a Kentucky Colonel. He began his working career at Helene Curtis in Chicago, IL and returned to Muhlenberg County and worked in the auto parts business, Sears Roebuck, and retired from Car Quest Auto Parts in 2003. Pap, as he was affectionately known by his family and friends, grew up playing his guitar with his brother Irvin, a passion that he truly enjoyed. He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Lisa Johnson; a grandson Michael Bullock, and a brother, Irvin Jarvis.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Willow Mae Hoggard Jarvis; two daughters, Jeannie (Bill) Bullock and Lynn (Matt) Woodburn, all of Bremen; five grandchildren, Tabitha (Shane) Bandy, Scott (Chasity) Gunn, Whitney Gunn, Tamara (Monty) Golden, Nathan Johnson, and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Richard Harris officiating. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Midland. Visitation will be held Friday after 5:00PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
