William Lee Fleener

of Indianapolis, died February 21, 2013 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 70.
William was born June 2, 1942 in Indianapolis to Carey and Helen Fleener. William spent 46 years as a manager for Standard Grocery. He then worked part-time for Marsh. He enjoyed fishing, the Chicago Bears, cooking out, and eating. He will be remembered as a family man who loved to help others. He will be greatly missed.
William is survived by his wife of 41 years Sarah D. Fleener; children Carey L. (Jackie) Fleener and Jonathan W. Fleener; grandchildren Ava Fleener, Bonnie Rehm, Carey Fleener Jr., Mercedes Turner, and Kyran McKinney; great-grandchild Nicari Fleener; brothers Donald (Char) Fleener, Douglas and David Fleener, sisters-in-law Emily "Sissy" Waldorp, Carolyn "Wiggles" (Colonel) Barton, Bonnie "Blue" (William) Kenney; brother-in-law George "Flip" (Sherry) Stevenson; as well as his beloved dog Max. He was preceded in death by his brother James Michael Fleener, his parents, and his brother-in-law Emanuel "Buddy" Stevenson.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 26 from 4 to 8 PM at Flanner and Buchanan Lawrence, 5215 N. Shadeland Ave, Indianapolis. Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, February 27 at Flanner and Buchanan Lawrence. Burial will follow at Old Oaklandon Cemetery.
